Owl Pellet Dissection Kits

These are so cool! The owl pellets are coughed up fur and bones of the animals the owls eat and cannot digest (gross, I know). They come with charts and diagrams so students can identify the animals species by comparing the bones/skulls.

Here are my kiddos dissecting the pellets and matching the bones to the charts. It lead to so many discussions of predatory birds, and we went out to identify so many other predators in nature. Great stuff!
